How to get your 2026 CalHFA Dream for All Preapproval Letter:

*CalHFA has announced that the Dream for All program lottery will be closing on Monday, March 16th at 5PM. To meet the deadline, clients must have their application, income docs, and questionnaire (Steps 1-3 below) completed no later than 10PM on Sunday, March 15th. 

STEP 1 - Submit your online application

• Please submit an online application.

• *If your credit score is FROZEN, please unfreeze your credit so we can run our soft-credit check (will not affect your credit score). Not doing so could delay your application. 

STEP 2 - Submit your income documents

• Once you submit your application, the system will prompt you to upload your income documents.

  • Past 2 years W2

  • Past 30 days of paystubs

  • *Other documents may be required depending on your income scenario (1099, self-employed, etc). 

STEP 3 - Submit your CalHFA Dream for All Questionnaire

• Please complete your CalHFA Dream for All Questionnaire.

STEP 4 - We will process your CalHFA Dream for All Preapproval Letter

• If your application is complete, you should receive your CalHFA Dream for All Preapproval Letter via email in 2-3 days. Our team will reach out if we need any additional information or documents to complete this process.

STEP 5 - Register on the CalHFA Dream for All Portal

• Please complete your registration on the CalHFA Voucher Lottery Portal. The portal is open until 5pm on March 16. You cannot complete this process until you have your preapproval letter from Step 4.
