CalHFA Dream for All Voucher Update
We are giving clients 3 paths forward after the CalHFA Dream for All Lottery selections. Please note that you cannot shop for a home with the preapproval letter you used during the CalDFA lottery and you need to select one of the options below to proceed with house hunting.

OPTION 1 - Selected, request new preapproval letter to shop for a home

OPTION 2 - Selected, update preapproval letter with changes to purchase price, down payment amount, or income

OPTION 3 - Not selected/waitlisted, want to explore options with other first-time homebuyer programs

OPTION 1 - Selected for CalHFA Dream for All
Request New Preapproval Letter

This option is for clients who were selected for the Dream for All Program, received a voucher from CalHFA, and want to shop for a home using the same information on the preapproval letter you used for the CalHFA DFA lottery.

For this option, you do not need to meet with our team. We will reissue a new preapproval letter via email for you to start house hunting.

OPTION 2 - Selected for CalHFA Dream for All
Update Preapproval Letter with Changes to Purchase Price, Down Payment Amount, or Income ​

This option is for clients who were selected for the Dream for All Program, received a voucher from CalHFA, and want to change the information on their preapproval letter before house hunting.

This includes:

New purchase price amount​

New down payment amount
-
Update income calculation
-
Change borrowers on the application
-
Update other information that could change your qualifying

For this option, you will meet with our team for a brief 15-minute appointment to discuss the changes being made to your preapproval letter. ​

OPTION 3 - Not Selected/Waitlisted for CalHFA DFA

This option is for clients who were not selected for the Dream for All Program and want to explore other options with various first-time homebuyer programs from CalHFA and other agencies.

For this option, you will meet with our team for a brief 15-minute appointment to discuss the other programs available to see if they fit your needs.

Our team would issue an updated preapproval letter, if you chose to use one of the other programs available.
